ரொறன்ரோ ஸ்ரீ வரசித்தி விநாயகர் தேவஸ்தானத்தினால்  இளம் சமுதாயத்தின் ஆன்மீக வளர்ச்சிக்காக ஸ்ரீ வரசித்தி விநாயகர் இந்துக்கல்லூரியினை 2005ம் ஆண்டு 65 பிள்ளைகளுடன் பண்ணிசை வகுப்புடன் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது.
 
ஆன்மீகத்தின்மேல் இளம்சிறார்கள் காட்டிய ஈடுபாடு, ஊக்கம் மற்றும் பண்ணிசை கற்பதற்கு தமிழ், சமய அறிவு எவ்வளவு முக்கியம் என்பதையும் அறிந்துகொண்டு, பண்ணிசையுடன், தமிழ், சமய பாடங்களுடாக கலை, கலாச்சாரம், பண்பாடு, இறைவழிபாடு ஆகியவற்றை கற்பிக்கவேண்டும் என்பதைக் கருத்திற்கொண்டு  2006ஆம் ஆண்டு தைப்பூச தினத்தன்று புதிய தமிழ், சமயம், பண்ணிசை வகுப்புகள் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது. துரிதமான வளர்ச்சியினால் 2006 செப்டெம்பர் மாதத்திலிருந்து காலை/மாலை வகுப்புக்கள் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டன. பத்து தரமான ஆசிரியர்களைக் கொண்டு கல்வி கற்பிப்பதுடன் நின்றுவிடாமல் ஆலயத்தில் நடைபெறும் நவராத்திரி, திருவெம்பாவை, சிவராத்திரி, வருடாந்த மஹோற்சவம் போன்ற தினங்களில் தேவார திருமுறைகளைப் பண்ணோடு படித்தல், புராணக் கதைகளை நாடகவடிவில் நடித்தல்இ வாரம்தோறும் ஆலயத்தில் நடைபெறும் சமய நற்சிந்தனை, பஜனை வழிபாடு என்பவற்றில் கலந்துகொள்ள ஊக்குவித்தல் போன்றவை இக்கல்லூரியின் சிறப்பம்சமாகும். 

Sri Varasiththi Vinaayagar Hindu College was initiated with Pannisai classes in 2005 with 65 students by Sri Varasiththi Vinaayagar Hindu Temple of Toronto.  In January of 2006, we formally included Tamil & Hinduism to the curriculum for the spiritual development of the young community in greater Toronto.

In addition to this, we have two major performances during the year: Mahashivarathri, and the annual show Sivathamizh Vizha, include several spiritual historical performances at the temple to enhance learning and participation. Currently we are educating over 300 students in a academic year with great help of 10 talented staffs.

Due to Covid 19 pandemic we have converted our studies in the form of online education. We have started our ZOOM meet/ SEESAW classes in May 2020 and completed the 2019/2020 academic year in the end of August 2020. Our 2020/2021 started in October 04, 2020 and went very well till June 2021. We will be continuing our online education for the first term (19.09.2021 to 19.12.2021) of  the new academic year 2021/2022. After the re-evaluation of the Covid 19 situation we will proceed with in class education in early second term.
